These cork tiles are made of recycled wine corks. They are composed of whole corks, granulated cork, and a non-toxic polyurethane binder. It take approximately 2.7 pounds of whole corks to make a 1/4" x 36" x 36" tile. There are about 270 corks per tile. These tiles can be used as flooring, paneling, counter and tabletops, and as a veneer for furniture and fixtures. It can be installed with any wood adhesive to adhere it to a wood substrate. This product comes in gauges: 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 1", 1 1/4", and 1 1/2".
